Question on Cornell ED, pleaseee help

I was interested in applying to Cornell ED. I know I would definitely want to go there if accepted, but I'm worried about not getting a sufficient financial aid package. If you do not receive enough money are you allowed to back out of early decision, or are you still required to attend there?

you are technically allowed to back out if you really can't afford it. However, this shouldn't happen as it is in Cornell's best interest to give you enough FA for you to attend. If you aren't getting enough, you'll probably drop out after a year and go to a cheaper, state school. This lowers their freshman retention rank and their graduation rate. So by screwing you they'd also be screwing themselves.

Awesome, thanks so much for your response
