Question on Financial Aid...

Well, my parents are immigrants to America. Only up until the last few years, we have probably lived on an income of $50,000 or much less. Now its probably like $160,000. So, I was quite angry when I found out that colleges only look at your parent's salary from a year ago. Clearly, people like me would have a lot less money saved up compared to people that have had a salary of $150,000 + for a longer time.

The other day I found out that Harvard only makes the parents pay 10% of their income for families making from 80K - 170K. Are there any other schools that do this?

There aren't many. That is why most parents with histories like yours send their kids to in-state public universities.

Yale, Stanford, Princeton, and a handful of others
