<p>There is an essay section which is very easy and contains two essays (And the score is seperate from your overall score).</p>
<p>You main scores are determined by two sections: Quantitative (math) and Verbal. Each of these sections have a few different types of questions (can't remember them off top of my head but some in verbal were "critical reasoning" and "reading comprehension"). The test adapts to how well you are doing. If you get a question right, it will ask you a tougher question. If you get a question wrong, the next question will be easier.</p>
<p>To prepare, just get the official GMAT prep book, the princeton review book and the kaplan 800 and take some practice tests online.</p>
