<p>A hook can be a lot of things- it's generally something very special that sets you apart from other applicants, ie a recruited athlete, developmental admit, winner of some huge international competition...etc. </p>

<p>It is a hook, especially if you won some awards, etc. If they want proof, they would contact your GC. Play your college app. with this - essays, teacher recs., etc.</p>
