Question on majors...

Is it a bad idea to apply undeclared for the UCs if I don't know what I'm gonna do? Someone told me that it's a better idea to just choose a major you have any type of interest in because those who apply undeclared get to choose their classes last and are often stuck with the "leftovers".

Also, I received my grades in early November (my school runs on a block schedule), but I'd prefer not to report them. I'm not failing anything at all, they just aren't as good as my junior year grades. I think they could affect my initial admissions, but wouldn't be poor enough to warrant me being rescinded. So could I put "in progress"?

you should put a major.
you aren’t officially committed to it, it’s jsut saying your interests basically.
also, for those who are interested in math&sciences, there are a lot of scholarships out there for those who express interest in them…
the colleges are going to see those grades sooner or later and if you are admitted, they reserve the right to retract that admission if they see something that they don’t like…better that you just submit them now so it doesn’t look like you have something to hide…if your grades aren’t horrible (ex a b instead of a b+), send them.

thanks man!
