I recently got a letter from NYU that I did not get accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences and that they have put me on the General Studies Program, does that mean that I have a big chance of getting admitted?

You are in to GSP. Congrats. In GSP, you take GSP core curriculum classes for two years, then switch over to CAS. In the end, you will get the same degree as anyone else.

Does that mean that I am accepted in New York University already?

if the letter you got told you that you have been accepted into the General Studies Program, then you have been accepted into NYU
