question on "pre-xxx" schools

<p>there are pre-law,pre-med,pre-pharm,pre-business etc etc....
so my question is... are these "pre-xxx" courses the name of an actual course that is completely dedicated to the "xxx"? And in order to apply to these med school or pharm school you need these required courses right? Does every school offer these required courses? Also does it matter what you major in?</p>

<p>It wouldn't matter if I went to U of Chicago if they offered the prerequired courses for med schools right?</p>

<p>you know, when i first read that post, i thought you were talking about something else... ;)
anyways, Chicago can definately prepare you as a pre-med, law, etc. you just simply have to talk to the faculty advisor in your major. Also, take a look at the electronic <a href="http://catalogs.uchicago.edu%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://catalogs.uchicago.edu&lt;/a> site.<br>
