Question on Submitting Standardized Tests

Hi, I have a question regarding how I should report my standardized tests on the common app. I am applying to multiple colleges with a myriad of requirements, which include: SAT or ACT w/writing; SAT and ACT w/writing; SAT, SAT2s or ACT w/writing; or SAT, SAT2s and ACT w/writing.

I am worried about how I should report these scores because I only want specific colleges to see specific scores. However, many people and my guidance counselor (who was a bit vague about it) said that I should report EVERY test I've taken on the common app, even if I don't send the official score report.

Here's an example: I am applying to "X" school. They require SAT and SAT2s or ACT with writing. I did much better on my ACT, and would likely only submit that score report. However, won't they see my SAT grade anyway on the common app if I put it down? Is there a difference between how they view self reported and officially reported scores? Should I just submit everything I've done and hope that they really "look at my best scores" (which they say they do).

Sorry if this sounds a little confusing, but any help would be great. I am submitting it in the coming weeks.

Thanks
