Question on supplement

In the box where it says "Required of all non-us citizens or non-us registered permanent residents" I guess I accidently clicked "I will apply for fin aid from Stanford" (I -am- a us citizen). Should I just leave it be? or am I supposed to sign my name there?

Can you click it again to undo your check mark? Don't sign anything there if it's already a mistake because that means it's not a mistake.

this question came up many times, so you won't be the only one...

"Can you click it again to undo your check mark?"

It's one of those "bubbles", where if you click one once you can't remove your choice.

^I think in that case you have to start all over. Remove Stanford and add it back again to clear the supplement. Try a few things here and there.

Someone who did it in EA round emailed the commonapp people, and they fixed it.

If you remove Stanford and add it back again, the supplement won't be cleared.

^you are right. I tested on one of my own account. I clicked yes by accident and then I clicked no and the yes was removed. But the no was left and so if you don't need aid, you don't need aid. If anybody who made that mistake, they should not save and log off. I saved and log off(for testing) and then remove Stanford to see if the supplement was cleared but I saw that it was not.

"Someone who did it in EA round emailed the commonapp people, and they fixed it."

Yeah it works. Surprisingly commonapp's technical support is efficient and nice... I got a response in about an hour and they had removed my selection.

I can email the commonapp people before i submit it or should I do it after I submit it?

I don't think they work today (?). So I would just make sure that you submit your app in time. I think you won't be the only one who has that problem and Stanford will understand.

I did the same kind of thing on the Harvard app--I just submitted it though. It was very clear from the rest of the app that I am from the US, so I think they'll understand.

You can also put in the section of Additional Info for the supplement not the Common App that for the correction. State the Common App interface did not let you undo a mistake easily.
