Question on switching colleges within Cornell

Okay, so i've applied ED to CAS, but was unable to research as much as I wanted on the individual colleges in Cornell due to some family issues. I now realize that the CLAS is probably a better fit for me. Now since everything has already been sent, and in the chance I somehow manage to get accepted to the school in 10 days and 4 3 hous from now, is there a way to switch before the start of next year, or would I have to stay in CAS for a period of time before switching?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think you might be able to apply to transfer for the spring 2006 term, or you would have to wait until fall 2006, im not sure though, this is only a guess

You will most likely have to transfer after the first semester. However, my sister realized that her major was offered in a state funded school as well as CAS and tried to switch, but they did not let her. They only allow you to switch colleges if you realize the major or program of study offered in your college is not for you. For example if you were majoring in Government at CAS and wanted to switch to AEM at CALS, they would have you use your elective credits towards classes required for AEM, and if you performed well they would allow you to switch. You usually have to take classes in your major to show an improvement or that you are capable in the new setting.

Kk, thanks to both of you
