Question on textbooks

I won’t have textbooks at least until the first the week of class because I have orientation a week before…

do professors strictly check if the students have textbooks?

With the exception of some lab books, there is actually no requirement for students to have the assigned textbook(s) though it might be very difficult to do well in the class if one doesn’t have the textbook(s).

what is a good website for buying secondhanded text books?

Most sites will provide 2 day delivery for textbooks if you pay a bit extra. DS has used Amazon for used textbooks in the past and if you have Amazon Prime you get free two day shipping. Chegg is another good option for used textbooks and rentals. You might also want to check out book rentals from the bookstore at UA.

BTW don’t forget to use the correct address and your MSC# if you have textbooks sent to you at UA.

DS used Amazon for Renting Text and for used texts.

Textbooks.com is a great source for “Like New” used copies. Prompt shipping, too.

Also FYI… If you get books from SupE store you only have 7 days to return any you won’t need for a refund. Just be aware of this when purchasing.
