Hey, if you apply to Dartmouth ED, can you apply to any other schools? This is important, because it is my number one school, but it is a reach, probably a big one So, I don't want to lose an atvantage by applying to other schools and getting a higher chance for acceptance.

If you apply ED to Dartmouth you can apply EA to most schools (some schools have weird early action policies like Georgetown--basically you can't apply EA there if you apply ED to a different school) and RD to any school BUT you can neither apply ED to another school nor Single Choice Early Action to a school (e.g. Yale).

Okay, but what is the difference between ED and EA? And thanks for your response. :)

Oh, and what schools offer EA?

this thread should answer your questions

In a nutshell

EA is nonbinding; if accepted, you don't have to attend. You can also apply EA to a number of schools provided that they don't have any extra strings attached like Yale, Stanford, or the aforementioned Georgetown.

ED is binding; if accepted, you do have to attend. You may only apply ED to one school.
