I'm new here and, of course, I've got a question about educational system in the USA. I'm from Poland, and there we have completely different system. I wonder, why there's a topic "Yale 2013" ? Is that a year of high school graduating ? And if so, does it mean that i can apply to yale college now, even if I've just started my first year in the high school ? In Poland, we have 3-years high schools...

I hope to hear from you as soon as possible ;)

“Yale 2013” refers to the year of college graduation. This sub-forum was started two years ago for those posters who had a particular interest in the students who started at Yale in September, 2009 and hope to graduate in May, 2013 (although some will take a little longer).

If I understand you correctly, tinwid, you are 15-16 years old and will be graduating from high school in 2013. If that is the case you could apply to Yale at the end of the year 2012 (for early admission by Nov. 1 of that year, for regular admission by Dec. 31 of that year). You would be applying for admission to the Yale class of 2017 to start your first year in September, 2013. Similar timing would be required for most colleges/universities in the U.S.

Thank you for everything ! Now it’s so much brighter This year in the topic was really … mysterious for me ^^ But thanks to you, it’s no longer. Merci, Danke i dziękuję ;)
