Hi,guys.

I have taken the SAT twice, and the SAT subjects(M1+M2+Phy) once. I used CB's score choice when I submitted my scores to colleges, and only sent one SAT report and Math2& physics. How should I fill in the Testing Section in Common App?

Is it okay to say that I have only taken the SAT once? Is it okay not to self-report my scores?

Either of those options is fine. You can report no scores or just report the scores and number of sittings you want to report.

This has been discussed many times here and there are several people here who disagree with above. ^^^^

The C/A form says to post the tests taken and the scores.
It doesn’t say “only post your highest scores.”
It doesn’t say “submit only the tests taken in the past six months.”
It doesn’t say “submit some SAT IIs and not others.”
Etc.

Anything other than full reporting could be considered as withholding information, i.e. lying.

YMMV.

^^ Look at the Common App first. It clearly asks for the highest section scores if you choose to self report. Your information is either outdated or simply wrong. You do need to answer the number of attempts though. In the test section, the first question is do you want to self report test scores. You can choose yes or no. The second question is to choose which tests you wish to self report. Nothing is compulsory in these two questions. But once you choose to self report a test, you need to answer how many times you have taken the test and the highest section scores (for ACT and SAT1). For SAT2 and AP scores, the first question is how many test you WISH to report. Not how many test you have taken. It is crystal clear on the form.

^^^
This is my understanding as well. You don’t have to self-report any particular type of test, but if you do, you need to answer all the applicable questions fully and truthfully. So if you choose to self-report the regular SAT test, you need to disclose all the dates that you have taken or will take the test, as well as the highest section scores that you have received to date.

I have looked at the Common Application. Have you?

And have you looked at what the O/P actually asked (and what I posted)?:

And the correct answer is NO.

The form states “Exam Dates past & future”

Again, it doesn’t say “Only enter the dates of the tests you want us to know about.”

If you have trouble with simple reading comprehension, then maybe college isn’t the best thing for you.

@GolfFather:
Nice try. That is exactly what I said. Your link is to a pdf form from 2 years ago. You should look at the current CommonApp online. There is no more printed form. The second part I have already addressed in my response above that one need to answer the number of attempts if they choose to self report.
I am responding to your mis-information, not to the OP.

LOL

Thx for your replies.

So, can I choose NOT to self-report my scores on SAT?
Will the colleges find it weird that I only report my SAT subs?

You can choose not to self report any score. The schools would see the opposite, which is you choose to report whatever score. Students not taking SAT would also not self report SAT score.

Thx, but I still don’t understand what the colleges will think if I choose not to self-report any of my scores.

Will they find it weird?

You worry too much. Some schools like Purdue would even block off any self report scores.
