Question On Transferable Courses and AP Credit

Hey everyone! Congrats on submitting your applications! Here’s to hoping that we all get in.

I have a question about what could’ve been a minor mistake on my app and it’s really stressing me out.

In the section that stated "Prior to transfer, will you complete two transferable college courses in English composition (Not including English as a second language courses)?

Already completed with a grade of C or better
In Progress
Planned
None planned/not completed"

I entered the course I had already finished, but the second course requirement would be satisfied by an AP test. So I put down “None planned/not completed” because after all, a test isn’t exactly a class and explained that I had satisfied the requirement with the test in the box they provided. I’m starting to think this wasn’t exactly a good idea. Would admissions see the “None planned/not completed” and throw out my app for not having the required courses without reading the additional comments? I’m absolutely terrified at being rejected for such a seemingly small “error”.

Thanks!

That’s a big error. Email the UC and let them know the course is fulfilled with an AP course.

Yeah… I thought so. Thanks for the help!

Unrelated: I can’t stand Sartre. Seems incredibly conceited. I’d still like to read one of his books, though. Also, I may be cynical, but I find it rather funny that Heidegger was a Nazi. Anyway,

What was your score? If you had a 4 or 5, then you’re fine. If you had a 3, then for Berkeley (and perhaps other schools) understand that it will only clear the English requirement if you completed IGETC
