Question... please answer

Hello
I am a highschool stdent from Israel.
I have family in the states, who offered me to move there and finish highschool in the sates, in the hopes of being accepted to a good American university. (Of course moving there means seperating from close family and friends...)

My question is- are the chances of a student who graduated from highschool in the states to get accepted to a good American university significantly higher then the chances of a foreign student (a good student) from Israel ?

Thanks.

(Sorry for double posting but I didn't realy know where to post...)

not really. I graduated from a French and an American high school, it might help a little but every international student who applies to a good American college is already hardcore. You might want to aim a little lower and you'll have a chance. Good luck.

mmm it depends. In the states, for certain universities, sometimes it's better to be an international student because they want to court them or alternatively intl. usually pay higher fees and they want the money. Either way, you will still have to apply as an international student. It will just help the uni you are applying to because they will know your school better.

Well the good universities, like he said, have enough int'l students already. The fact he's not from Asia might help him though.

.... I thought the Middle East IS Asian.

The guy is from Israel. Some consider this country as Asian, other European. Technically, the country is in Asia, but culturally speaking Israel definitely is European, and is considered European by most of the International community. Also, Israel sports teams compete in European competitions.
