I just faxed in my change in college choice tonight from "undecided" to my first choice college. In the letter from Februrary, it says that
"a Finalist cannot be offered an award until he or she has reported such a choice to NMSC"
and the timeline post says
"Mar 24 NMSC mails offers of National Merit $2500 Scholarships"

Does this mean I'm too late to be considered for a National Merit $2500 Scholarship?? If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Thanks!

If you were being considered for the NMSC $2500 scholarship and you were undecided, NMSC would have notified you and asked you to make a choice. At this stage, you have sent in your choice. What you should now concentrate on is college scholarships. Does your first choice college give National Merit Scholarships? If so, you may want to find out how they award scholarships and make sure that college knows about your interest. If that college does not give National Merit scholarships, you may want to change it to one that does.

Call the National Merit Foundation @ (847) 866-5100 they will answer your specific question … they have always been very helpful every time I have called. Good Luck
