question... please help!

ok.. so i am currently living in the US and my permanent residence visa is pending currently...(expecting it to come out by the end of january) but as of now i have to apply as an international student... which means i cannot apply for FA and have to show proof that i can pay the whole tuition... i am just wondering what kind of proof i have to show.. and would it be ok if i don't send anything considering that by the time they start evaluating the applicants.. i would have my green card... THANK YOU people

I would advise you to call the Admissions Office. This a potentially difficult issue that no one here can answer for you.

Shades is right. My sister in law was an international student and before she married my brother, she had several issues regarding her visas. (In fact they married earlier than originally planned because of a delay of an essential visa.) From her experience, I would have my ducks in a row just in case that visa does not show up on time. In her case, she had to show an account in her name with the money sitting in it, or approved loans for the portion of costs that her stipends and grants did not cover. She was here on a Fullbright initially, and then got other money, but she still often had gaps. By marrying my brother, it expedited her visas, and she was suddenly eligible for a number of things but did not even need them as he was in the middle of a hardship tour in Korea, and she got the spouse's allowance for that which eliminated her monetary need. Funny, the govt could have saved a lot of money if they had just gotten that visa on time, because they were not going to get married till he finished his tour, and went a got a quickie city hall thing for the paperwork, having the "real" wedding two years later. But it was a financial windfall for them.
