I will enter in the fall of 07 as a freshman...but will already have over 60 community college credits from an accredited college. Does anyone know if UT - Austin will accept these credits...and if so...will I enter in as a junior or what?

You need to meet w/ a UT academic advisor in your major to determine if all of the community college hours are transferrable. UT would probably have to offer a comparable course before they accept the credit. You might need to take UT placement tests to receive credit for some of the courses.

Whatever number of credits that they accept and that you petition to claim will determine your class standing. If UT accepts all your 60+ hours of credit and want to petition to claim credit for all those hours, you could enter w/ junior standing. This would be an advantage for you in registering for clases after your first semester.

Keep in mind that you may not want to claim all the credit hours because they may not apply towards your degree. If you graduate w/ no more than 3 hours of credit than required for your degree, you are entitled to a $1000 tuition rebate. UT academic advisors suggest that claim only those credits that apply toward required courses when you enter UT. Then wait until your last semester to claim any more credits. This will help you stay within the number of credits required for your degree plus 3 so your qualify for the $1000 rebate.

maybe this can help
