Was there a specific brand of boots we were supposed to get, or would any Belleville hot weather tan boots work? I don't even know what kind of Bellevilles I got, they weren't even listed on the Belleville website. I went to the store at the nearby fort, showed the employee the sheet WP sent me, and she brought out boots. I've been breaking them in for about 2 months now

They really don't take much to break in, so even in a couple of days you could start. As far as the boots, there are numerous manufacturers that are allowed (this is stated in the memorandum given by West Point concerning boots).

The only exception is they must be issue, not commercial. Sgt. McCoy, I believe, stated that if theres a brand name on the outside its no good. So I hope you got the right ones. If not, you will be far from the only one in that boat. Pretty much everyone I have talked to/texted/read of in a forum has had huge problems procurring the correct boots if they got them at all.

Yeah, they have no brand on the outside, but I couldn't find them anywhere on the Belleville website, thought they look like some other models. Also, it's good just to walk in them, just to make calices.
