Question re: rescinded acceptance and/or scholarship

My dearest apologies if this is in the incorrect forum.

I was accepted last month with a decent scholarship on a 3.6 GPA.

However, in a single day because of a single test, I think I might have lost one or the other. My GPA has been steady at that point for the first quarter and second quarter was on the right track...until the quarterly test in this one subject.

This particular course only gives one test per quarter and many quizzes. I did excellent on the 5 or 6 quizzes we took: before this test and as of this moment my average is a 98. However, this single test was a disaster because a good deal of it was material we covered when I was out sick, and thusly, I don't anticipate getting anything higher than a 55.

Now, I'm running through this as a disaster scenario, because I don't know how low this will bring that one course for this quarter and in turn, the GPA. I don't know how much tests are weighted in this class offhand, however the guesswork averages I ran through brought my grade for the quarter down to an 81! The first quarter was a 99! And I heard colleges don't look at 3rd or 4th quarter grades so apparently there's no time to pick it back up (which would be relatively easy since I normally do well in this class.)

Every other course is practically top-notch for the quarter: my lowest is an 88 in pre-calculus. My only concern is the grade for this quarter and me getting my college scholarship or acceptance rescinded because of one test on one day. Unexplained, it looks like I slumped across all the tests I took in this class, and that isn't true! I take it seriously because, in all honesty, it sounds like something that would end up happening to me.

Am I overreacting here? In what scenarios do colleges rescind your application and/or scholarship?
