<p>Say I wanted to apply to Stanford's undergrad engineering program, does that mean I must select engineering as my major? Would that decrease my chances of getting in Stanford because of the competitiveness of the program? If so, how significantly?</p>
<p>Also, if I put undecided or chose a different major, can I still change to engineering?</p>
<p>The same for Wharton, Sloan, etc. </p>
