I have a question regarding sending SAT scores. I am applying some schools that don't use score choice, Macalester, Columbia, and Yale. I sent all of ACTs to each school. My ACT score was 33. And I sent my SAT subject test scores to Columbia. However I reported on my APP that I took the SAT II subject test. Should I send these scores to Yale, and Macalester? On their websites it says that they only require ACT or SAT+2 subject. Also I took the SAT once and got a 2050. Will these colleges be able to tell that I took the SAT from the score report with my subject tests? If I send in these scores now will my app be late?

I can’t speak to Macalester and Yale, but did you send all of your scores to Columbia, i.e., SAT, SAT I, SAT II, SAT II Subject and ACT, from all sittings? If not, you’ve violated the very clear instructions.

Well my main reason for asking this is because I sent all of the required scores. For example Yale requires ACT or SAT and 2 SAT 2s. I sent all of my ACTs so I thought that would suffice. Also, on the SAT 2 score report if you don’t send your SAT does it show that or not?

If they do not allow score choice, then you will have to send your SAT along with the subject tests. They will consider that 33 ACT over your 2050 SAT though. If they do allow score choice, you can just send the subject tests, with no indication of you taking the SAT.

I just checked Yale. They just need you to send all of your scores from one testing agency. As far as columbia goes, I submitted my SAT 2s and my ACTs and made no indication of ever taking the SAT. They won’t ever know right?

Here we go straight from the Columbia page “You may submit ACT scores in place of SAT scores. However, you must also submit the ACT writing section scores and still must submit two SAT Subject Test scores.” So as long as you send all of the scores to meet there requirements it is fine.
