question regarding academic honors recs and ecs

1) What counts as academic honors? Does principal's list or honor roll (when you get straight As or A's and B's)? Does National Honor Society count? Does Spanish Honor Society count? Does getting the highest grade in my 10th and 11th math class count? Does getting bronze in math at the Academic Decathlon competition count? Im so confused!

2) For my teacher recs, can they just mail in a letter of recommendation to the school instead of filling out the forms?

3) Is it wise to send a extracurricular resume along with the common app explaining all your activities in detail?

4) Do you think college admissions will frown upon the fact that i wrote about "topic of your choice?"

Thanks in advance.

Honors: Honor roll, awards, etc
EC: honor societies

That’s how I would think. The college sees both lists right next to each other anyway. I’m sure they wont be angry if you have a couple in the wrong spot. :P

Yes, your teachers can mail in the forms. Print out and give them the recommendation school form here: https://app.commonapp.org/CommonApp/DownloadForms.aspx

I guess you could send a resume with… but they don’t really want to read that much when they have to go through 12000 or more applications.

Topic of your choice is fine, as long as you didn’t just write a resume. Focus on one topic.
