I am going to keep this short. I just finished two years at Santa Barbara City College. Overall GPA not stellar (2.9). I wanted to move back to my home (Marin County) and attend Sonoma State. This has ended up being a terrible decision and I have really screwed up this semester. I have become totally disinterested in my school due to many different things. I will spare the story here and just ask my question.

I am not planning on returning. I am going to take two classes at my local community college this spring and plan on applying in Jan/Feb for the Fall at other schools and really finding a school that I enjoy. The mistake I made was applying to ONLY sonoma state thinking that it would be fine.

I am at the point that I am doing so horrbile at Sonoma that I am ready to not return and not finish out the semester. I know most advice against this but I planned on just not reporting Sonoma on my apps for the fall. My college counselor said if this is the case there is NO WAY I can apply to any other CSUs as they are all connected and will know that I went to Sonoma through their records.

Is this true? I am planning this week on seeking a medical leave to avoid just totally withdrawing. This is not a BS way of getting myself out of this. Due to alot going on in my life this semester I really have not done that well and have NOT performed up to my academic ability.

Any advice here would be appreciated.
