I am rather confused concerning the art supplement for stanford. I have visual art to present for admission review, but I don't know if i am supposed to mail the copies of the artwork or give the url to the online portfolio. On the common app under stanford it says to use the common app's art supplement to submit the supplement; however, on the stanford sight it says to mail the portfolio? Can anyone shed some light on the matter (preferably before the Dec. 1 deadline)? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You have to mail it in; the online ones will not be accepted.

I am submitting an Arts Supplement along with my Common App to Stanford. Since Stanford only accepts the Arts Supplement by mail does that mean I have to submit my Common App by mail as well? Or can I submit the Common App separately online?

Thanks

bumping this thread; i’m also submitting an arts supplement. they say they want prints of your work - is that just pictures of your work printed out on normal printer paper?

@SaxToTheMax The common app needs to be submitted online, Stanford only wants the art supplement to come in through the mail.

@somesmores Yes, they just want pictures of your work. No need for originals.

I submitted my art supplement SCEA so I understand all the confusion haha.
Best of luck to all of you!

So I’m going to join in on this because I’m sending an art portfolio too and currently confused haha
When they say 8 x 10 prints max do they mean 8 x 10 inches or the 8 x 10 digital print (5 x 5 inches) ? And did you put them in sheet protectors and put them all in a folder?

I assumed it was 8 x 10 inches; I didn’t use sheet protectors but I did put of them all in the same folder.
