Question regarding CAL GRANT

Hello,

So I didn't apply for the cal grant when I was HS senior and I graduated in June 2008. Is is ok if I apply for the Cal grant this year(like right now)? Will they use my college gpa rather than my HS gpa for verification? Thanks.

apply and see what they ask for. and the first time around, you have to go to the college and ask them to submit your gpa.

College GPA and you will not get Cal Grant until the 2009-2010 school year.

California Student Aid Commission - What are the Cal Grant A and B Entitlement Awards?
California Student Aid Commission - What is the Cal Grant Transfer Entitlement Award?

That link will answer some of your questions.

So does this just basically mean I apply, and they'll treat me as a transfer student. I just graduated HS in 2008

I'm still eligible to apply though right?...like I will get a grant right

Do CC's give cal grants?

No I mean since we're all transferring, if we didn't apply during HS senior year, can we still apply now?

Also, say with an EFC of 0, how much would one expect from the entire financial aid package at CAL or other UC's?

Good question, I'm curious about this aswell. Can anyone help?

bump...anyone? :P

You guys should have been mailed a FinAid brochure. Typically, if your EFC is 0 you will get the max amount.
