If multiple people from my school apply to cornell, but to different schools( ex human ec, ag, ilr, etc), do I still have a shot of getting in. In other words, if I am the only person applying to human ec, but if alot of people are applying to ag, then are my chances better?

there aren't quotas for specific high schools

7 people from my school got in

4/4 ED from my school for class of '09.

So yes, you have just as good a chance as if they didn't apply.

I applied ED to CAS, and two other people applied ED to engineering and hotel school. We all got in!

cornell seems to dislike my school, even though its a top 100 public with many overachievers

we had 4/24 get in last year, though many just throw in apps for the hell of it.

gee, throwing apps in for the hell of it couldn't have had anything to do with it, could it?

Man, these schools have completely separate admissions processes. In other words, two kids who apply to two different schools within Cornell make no difference to each other's chances. There's this dude in my class who's applying to Hotel Management, and I'm for CAS, and we don't have anything to do with each other in this business.

ya 4/6 in my grade got in ED

last year 7/37 got in, and 3 went.

this year 2/6 got in ED from my school
