question regarding language classes

hello all, hope ur summers are going well
i am studying biology in cas, and i want to study korean along with all the bio chem stuff, but it seems like all the language courses are 6 credits each. thats alot, can someone explain why? are language courses a lot of work?
thanks

Not all language courses are 6 credits. Spanish is only 4. I do not know why, but it might have to do with credit hours. I’m taking Japanese 1101, and the course has Two lectures as compared to just One Lecture for Spanish 1101. So you are learned more in less time, cause Japanese is for two semesters, while Spanish is for three. So that’s probably why the credits are higher for Korean.

wt about workload? a lot to handle?

Sorry to bud in, but does anyone how difficult Latin is here? I have heard the Korean is not too difficult, but a ton of work.
