I am a High school senior from India and I attended some lectures at a college in my interested major(Civil engg). If i get a LOR from the professor then will it help my college profile?
You still have to get LORs from your school teachers. A LOR from a professor will be considered supplemental, which a few schools accept.
I’m guessing you want to go to UIUC. Just be warned, they do not accept any LORs.
UIUC is more of a safety school.I am looking at Stanford(I believe I can fly…someday)too.
Please can u advice me on that??
P.S.:-I did it out of interest not for credit or anything.
UIUC is not a safety if you are a STEM or business hopeful. An AO told DD they had a 12% acceptance rate for Grainger this year. That’s for all applicants. International students usually have lower odds.
My son’s school had a 36/4.0 get rejected from UIUC CS as an OOS. He will be attending CMU. UIUC is not a safety.
UIUC isn’t even a safety for most domestic applicants. For an international applicant (if you can’t full-pay) it’ll be a reach.
