So I go to a rather competitive and very small college prep. and I know that eleven kids from my school are applying to Tulane (three have already been accepted). Compared to these students I am not as strong of a candidate, and I am worried that I will be compared to them when being considered for admission. Basically, would Tulane refrain from admitting all eleven of us because we are from the same school? Are my chances any lower?
If the other students applying from your school have walk-on-water profiles, then Tulane may think they are a poorer bet for yield
@wealey98 Tulane wouldn’t refrain from admitting all 11 if you are all qualified candidates. That being said, your application will be reviewed in the context of your school and how you have taken advantage of what your school offers (like APs, extracurriculars etc.) but not necessarily directly against your classmates that are also applying to Tulane.
