<p>At CalSO I was told that because the Cal Grant situation is a bit sketchy, Berkeley financial aid would be working a bit differently this year.</p>
<p>Usually a portion of a student's bill is automatically paid with financial aid on the CARS account at the beginning of each semester (I may have this wrong. Please correct me if this is so.).</p>
<p>From the UC Berkeley Financial Aid website:
"Approximately one week prior to the beginning of each semester your aid will be applied to your CARS account."</p>
<p>Since everyone's financial aid may be affected by the upcoming budget, I was told at CalSO that financial aid would pay out portions of the CARS bill later than usual. </p>
<p>My questions:</p>
<p>Does anybody know when exactly our financial aid will pay for portions of our CARS bill?
Will we be charged late fees if such aid doesn't adjust our CARS bill in time?</p>
