Question regarding SAT scores on application

I just took the SAT for the second time yesterday and have a question regarding putting the scores down on the UW application.

1)I listed UW as one of my 4 free score reports down and saw that my earlier SAT score (2100) was being sent in as well. I know that this is a fantastic score and am really happy about it, however I know I did better on the one I took yesterday. Should I put down that score on the portion of the app (page 7, I believe) or just say I haven't taken it yet and am planning to use the scores for the October 9th test? Or should I just wait until October 28th to receive my score and then just put that score down?

Since they are receiving all my test scores I assume that they are taking the best one, will this needed to be the one I write down on my application, or will they just pick the best one when viewing the test scores I sent in?

Thanks in advance!

You can’t assume anything. If you want to be sure they will see it, it needs to be on the app.

But that’s why I was asking it as a question…

Here’s why i answered as i did. After my son was accepted, he sent in his final transcript. The transcript appeared on his list of received materials and he called and got written confirmation they had received it. Six months letter they sent a letter saying his admission would be revoked unless he submitted his transcript. So he called and it appears they missed it in their final audit.

So my point is that just because you submit material, and even if it appears on the myUW list as received and you call and get written confirmation that they have it, there is STILL a chance they won’t see it at the right time.

At least if it is on the app, the results will be seen by the committee.

Just put down the scores you have now, college board will send UW your new scores when they’re available.

I understand that diogenes, but that was completely outside the context of the question. I appreciate the advice though!

Thanks for the help, Spaceneedle, too!

Sorry. I read your question as “will this needed to be the one I write down on my application, or will they just pick the best one when viewing the test scores I sent in”?
