When you're reporting your grades for your classes, there is only one dropdown menu to select from. What if you got different grades for each semester? Cause I got a B first semester of English one year and an A the second semester of the same year. But there is only one dropdown to choose from... ._."

You have to enter in one class twice. You will enter your English course for that year and first semester as a B and then you will enter in your English course (as another course on the next line) for that year and second semester as an A.

Is your English class a full year class or semester class? If it is a full year class then I think they are just looking for your final grade right? If it is a semester class then two different grades

It’s a full year class but we receive semester grades and no final grade, so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to report it as two separate semester classes if it was a full year class…

If you receive semester grades, you must make two entries, one for each semester and give the grade for each semester. What you describe is exactly what a semester system is and what most people have, where a class like English, which lasts a year, has two separate semesters and two separate grades, and both must be reported.

I think you are supposed to put down what is on your transcript. So if semester grades are listed on your transcript then you should put them down.

UIUC states to put down the grades in the shortest time period possible. So if you have a yearlong course but you get grades for each semester, then list the semester grades. Similarly, if you have quarter grades, then you would list those in lieu of a year grade.

I just listed what was on my transcript since that is what would be sent. quarter/semester grades are not ever seen for year long courses just final grades so that is all I listed final grades for year long courses and final grades for semester courses. I think semester grades for year long courses are just “interim” grades for a year long course. Our transcript only lists year long course final grades so that is what I gave them!
