Question regarding subject test

I took the Math Level 2 test in May and got a pretty bad score:570. I'm taking it again in November, but I want to send in my US History subject test and Sat 1's. Should I send them everything except my math test, or would I be violating Standford's policy on score choice.

gadgor, since SAT subject tests aren’t technically required (though strongly recommended), the score choice policy doesn’t apply to them so you don’t need to submit the math test score. However, if your SAT I math score isn’t very significantly higher than your subject test score, I advise you to retake the SAT I and wait to apply RD.

Ok are you sure the policy doesn’t apply to SAT Subject Tests? And my SAT score is 2160, which I think is good enough.

gadgor, take a look at the last sentence:

[Testing Requirements : Stanford University](<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University)

Oh ok thanks guys for clearing this up.

Just to be clear. My son took the SAT test once and the ACT test once. He also took several SAT II’s. Does he need to self report both his SAT and his ACT (since he took both)? I find it confusing because at first it says " Applicants must self-report and submit all SAT scores OR all ACT scores," but then later it says, “Applicants cannot…elect to hide any scores with either testing agency.”

Thanks for your help.

curiousmother, your son can elect to send either his SAT Reasoning test score, or his ACT score; he need not send both (though he can if chooses to). The statement “Applicants cannot…elect to hide any scores with either testing agency” means that, if a student chooses to send SAT Reasoning test scores, he must send them for every sitting of that test (other than middle school talent search sittings). Likewise, if he chooses to send ACT scores, he must send them for every sitting of the ACT. For SAT II’s, he may report only those he chooses to report, since those tests are only recommended, not required.

Thank you!
