Question Regarding Summer Courses

Hi,

I'm an older student (25) currently attended Valencia. I expect to be finished with my AA in General Studies by next December. I will graduate with 27 CLEP credits and 33 graded credits, which I plan on transferring to UCF toward a BSBA in Management Information Systems.

I read somewhere that UCF requires summer courses in order to graduate. However, when I browsed through their undergrad catalog, it looks like they don't offer very many summer courses at all. When I transfer to UCF, all of my lower division requirements will be satisfied (I'm signed up for direct-connect-to-UCF). The upper division business and IT courses that I require don't seem to be offered in the summer.

Would I still be required to take summer courses?

Thank you.

Since you are entering UCF with 60 credit hours you will not be required to take any summer courses:

“A student entering the State University System with fewer than 60 credit hours of credit is required to enroll in a minimum of nine hours of credit in the summer at a State of Florida university.”

[University of Central Florida 2009-2010 Undergraduate Catalog - Summer Attendance Requirement](http://www.catalog.sdes.ucf.edu/undergraduate_degree_requirements/summer_attendance_requirement/Default.aspx)

Hope this helps!
