On the application, it states whether you would be interested in attneding the summer session at Penn State. However, the admission into the summer session is only after they decide to not accept you for the Fall 2005 admission term. My question is: if you don't get into the campus in Fall 2005, but get into the summer session, does this mean upon completion of the summer session you're a freshman in Fall 2005? It seems pretty silly to amit them to a summer term and kick them out of attending in the fall, doesn't it?

I tried to email them the question and it seemed I didnt get a direct response.

Hope someone knows what I'm talking about. haha Thanks in advance

Yes, you do attend in the fall session. On the tour in which I attended in the beginning of October, the two tour guides were two students who actually both started in the summer session of their freshmen year. Both started in the summer, and since attended the fall and spring sessions.

I recommend everyone applying to Penn State choose that option because you have nothing to lose. You keep all your options open, especially if you're slightly below their admissions standards for the fall session.

I wouldn't definitely call them and tell them you would start in the summer. It could be the difference between you getting accepted or rejected. If you are on the borderline for admission, they will accept to start the summer.

they say in the acceptance packet that if you're admitted for fall you can change to summer. imo go for fall first, and if you're admitted to fall you can always change your mind later.
