Question Regarding TAP Fulfillment

When do the qualifications for TAP have to be completed? At my CC, we need to take 5 honors classes to qualify for TAP. I know that we're supposed to send applications around November, but am I allowed to take my fifth honors class in the spring before I transfer (and thus after I apply to UCLA)? Or will I not be considered TAP-qualified since at the time of my application, I'd only have 4 honors classes done and thus not-yet TAP-qualified.

Thank you!

good question, i'd like to know this as well.

You are allowed to complete TAP classes in the Spring, yes. Usually UCLA & your CC correspond with one another and their is some paperwork you do in the Spring that gets you certified. I believe it's in March? Not completely sure. but I suggest you finish the majority of your courses prveious to Spring semester. It can get a little stressing if you have to take 2+ honors courses the Spring before transfer.

yeah and when you first join TAP they tell you to take one or two honor classes a semester. just follow that guideline and you should be certified in time.

i went and talked to my honors counselor right when spring semester began, because the paperwork she had to submit was due in february.
