Question regarding transfering to a foreign school

Ok so I go to a college and I just was recently accepted into a foreign medical college. I wish to transfer now but don't want to tell the Dean becasue I might want to come back if everything doesn't work well. So I was wondering what I could tell the dean other than I wish to transfer. Also in college is there something as an indefinite leave of absence????

Please respond ASAP my meeting is tomorrow early in the morning so I need answer by then!!!!!!!

I think you should tell your dean about this and what type of college is it?! Is it ranked and where is it? If it's ranked and it's prestigious then that's a huge plus but beware of the financial costs too?! Are you thinking about picking up that foreign language too so you can use it when you move back to America?! PM me

It depends on the school, but it is possible to take a leave of absence for personal reasons at some schools. You could express your desire to do so and see what the dean says. I have never heard of an "indefinite" leave of absence, but some schools allow you to renew your leave of absence quite easily.

You're much better off pursuing an MD in the US as it is the international standard. It's harder to come back to the States with a foreign medical degree and practice than it is to go to another country with a US MD.

Don't rush into this...
