Hey,

I have a question regarding the requirements for being accepted as a transfer student to UCLA's Business Econ Major. Assist.org says the following:

"ALL preparatory courses should be completed by the
spring term just prior to transfer"

Does this mean that it must be completed BEFORE the spring semester starts, or does it mean that it can be completed AFTER the spring semester comes to an end.

Thanks. Please Advise.

p.s. the course in question would hypothetically be calc 2

You can complete the pre-req DURING the spring semester right before transferring out.

^Thanks!, will a 3.7 get me into pre-business econ?

If you have a stellar essay and good ECs then you might be able to get in. Keep in mind that the average GPA for UCLA’s econ major is a 3.95. Your GPA might be on the low-side but you’ll never know until you apply!

Thanks! I may be turning down HAAS to get into UCLA next year. Any advice from anyone? I have a 3.7 with 90 units.

@Transfer2Best: May I ask why you turning down HAAS for UCLA’s business economic?

UCLA as a school seems much more well distinguished than HAAS does. Unfortunately, due to medical reason, I was also not able to complete the foreign language requirement as well(although I can take a UC test to pass it, the fact that HAAS does not want to work with me on this is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth).

@transfer2best i dont think that Haas doesn’t want to work with u, its cuz u didn’t complete a general cal/haas requirement.

@transfer2best UCLA biz/econ more distinguished than Haas? No offense to UCLA, but that’s just not true. And I don’t think you should blame haas for rejecting you because you didn’t complete a requirement.
