Does anyone know how much weight Rutgers puts into the mid year report?
I had a 3.96 W GPA this semester and was wondering if Rutgers would consider it.
@nikolateslaxi My friends tell me that mid-year grades can be updated on the SRAR. The purpose of sending mid-year reports to colleges is to show that you’re still working hard in school. I would send it/update the SRAR; it won’t hurt to let them know. Good work this semester!
@MrElonMusk Just submitted it thanks.
Where did you submit it?? In my Rutgers Portal I only see a check saying SRAR received. But no clickable link to update anything??
@yusuf17 I pressed Add/Update Senior year courses and put my mid year grades into there.
There is no such link in my portal? On the first screen, I only see contact info update links and view status link. Inthe status screen i see accept and reject buttons and at the bottom checks with everything is received. but not links?
@yusuf17 It won’t be on the admissions portal. Search for the Rutgers SRAR portal on google. Log in and hit continue at the bottom right.
Thank you very much! Just submitted, I guess too late now for scholarships. I dont know why they dont switch to Common App, their system is not centralized.
I don’t think a mid-year report is required for Rutgers; they ask for a final transcript, but no mid-year grades, at least to my understanding.
Thanks for the info. My son is currently waitlisted for NB-SAS. We FAXed in a mid-year report card, but nobody at Rutgers told us that updating the SRAR was an option. In fact, the instructions in the SRAR specifically say not to add grades for senior classes unless they are complete. So much misinformation, arghhh!
@oldnit May I ask what are your son’s stats?
Just to update the above, the “Waitlisted” in the RU portal is not just plain text, but is a also a link to an explanation of the Waitlist, including a recommendation to add mid-year grades to the SRAR.
