Question: Senior Year Classes

In my senior year, I’m debating between rejoining the track team and taking an elective called “Medical Principles of Sports Medicine”. I’m a college climber and I what to know which decision is better.

Here’s some context:

I was on frosh-soph for two years and I took a hiatus from track in my junior year because I wanted to focus on my academics. If I rejoin in my senior year, I’ll be on varsity. However, when I was in frosh-soph, I rarely competed, I never won a single award, and I sat on the benches most of the time. So, if I joined varsity next year, I probably won’t be winning any awards or doing anything notable.

I’m considering Medical Principles of Sports Medicine because I’m planning on studying in the medical field and I would get a chance to practice first aid on live patients. In addition, I would get volunteer hours.

Which should I take?

Why can’t you do both? Is the track team a class?
Do you enjoy running?
Is it something you will continue with?
Will you start getting in shape before the season?
Can you join the cross country team to get into shape and see how that goes?

What do you mean by" college climber"?

I’d take Medical Principles.
It doesn’t sound like you’d join track because you find it fun so taking a class that interests you would be better for you personally and for college admissions .
