<p>My question is if colleges consider the fact of wheter you are a foreign student who just came to this country a couple years ago and if tht plays a factor into whether the colleges would give you admissions.</p>

<p>I would guess that as long as you fall under “U.S. permanent resident” and not “international student” they would care. The main reason that competition is cutthroat for internationals is because donors want proceeds to go to domestic financial aid out of some misguided sense of patriotism (I’m an American citizen saying this, thankyouverymuch). But otherwise, I don’t see why it would matter.</p>
