question to current engineering students

I was looking at the schedule/required classes during first year. Has anyone here done Math 156 over Math 116? It appears much of the material covered is the same, except 156 goes a bit more in depth and includes calculus related to engineering.

UM Mathematics

I took 156 this semester. I really enjoyed the class; not much time is wasted doing meaningless proofs or things to that nature. And from what I've heard from friends, 156 seems to be quite easier than 116 -- of course that could also be a reflection on the type of student taking 156 vs 116, but if you're doing engineering and have a decent handle on calculus, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'd also recommend Daihai He as an instructor for 156 if you go that route. He's a really nice guy and puts a lot of time into helping you do well.

Is there a lot of repeated material that is found in a Calculus AB or BC high school class?

I took calculus my junior year, this year in statistics, so i am wondering if i should buy some AP calculus review book or something to refresh my mind, or is there a lot of repeated/review stuff?
