Question to ILR transfers, both current and perspective

Hey everyone, I have been given a gt into fall 07 and have spoken to some of you already.

I have registered for my classes, i am in the Gallatin school @ NYU and I have some questions. Im taing the following classes

Econ I
Capitalism and Democracy
Politics Power and Society
(writing seminar) Writing Justice

I am fufilling my writing requirements along with my econ requirements without a problem. But the problem lies in the other three requirements. I dont think I'll have the oppertunity to fill all of them at NYU, possibly 1 or MAYBE 2 next semester... Next semester I will be taking Econ II, and a writing class, giving me two classes to play with, I'd really like to continue spanish in college but I seem to have little oppertunity as I would like to try new and different things at the same time. Am I putting myself at a disadvantage when I apply to cornell next year? I know not ALL students manage to fill their requirements but would I have a tough time at cornell if i dont fufill atleast two?

Also I can change the classes i regestered for up until the second week of school, the only class I'm willing to change and have the opperunity to change is the politics/sociology one. Thanks everyone.

BUMP, cmon i know there are like 10 gt's around here

If you are a gt you do not have to apply (if you fulfill the requirements). If you do not fulfill them then you will be thrown into the general applicant pool or MAYBE be given a little leverage if it was sort of...beyond your control. You could always take summer classes at a local college and tell Cornell that. GL!

According to Ian I should fufill as many requirements as possible, focusing on Econ and English which I have done. If you take a look at an example of an ILR schedule they study the western intellectual tradition and cultiral perspectives sophomore year... The problem is that I want to only take 1 lecture class during my first semester, my class sizes right now are 15,20,30,200(econ). One lecture. second semester I'll fufill two of the requirements.. Im also waiting for AP scores.

They take it soph year because they take core freshman year, while we don't.
