question to pass the time...

I see a lot of the same names on multiple boards I'm on. Just curious
Where else has everyone here applied?
Have you received acceptances and/or aid?
Is this your first choice school?
Anyone using Tufts as a safety?

Applications:

State University: In with a full ride
Northeastern U: accepted/engineering/15k merit aid/yr
BU: Accepted/engineering/18k merit/yr
WPI: Accepted/engineering/14.5 merit/yr

Waiting for

Tufts
Dartmouth

Will probably attend state school based on money (did not qualify for financial aid)
Hoping against hope for a miracle from Tufts (money :) )

Anyone using tufts as a safety does not fully understand the tsunami of applications hitting the schools this year. Tufts is not, and has not been for several years, a safetly school for anyone.

Hopeful biology/psychology double-major, pre-med, also interested in chemistry

APPLICATIONS

Accepted:
- Case Western ($16.4k per year scholarship)
- University of Miami ($24k per year scholarship)
- Carnegie Mellon (HSS, rejected MCS)

Waiting:
- Tufts
- Wesleyan
- University of Michigan (deferred)

Tufts is definitely one of my top choices, but it all depends on the $$$.

(Although I just found out that I could enter UMiami as a junior with all my AP credits... very tempting, since it gives me the opportunity to graduate early/study abroad/double or triple major/etc.)

Tufts is by no means a safety for me, but if I happen to get into HYPS (yes, i applied to all :D) then its below them as far as where i would go.
so far:

American University (with 18k per yr scholarship)
Sarah Lawrence (with 7K/yr scholarship and some small grants)
Binghamton
CUNY Hunter Honors College (If I chose this option not only would it cost nothing to attend, but I'd get $7,500 to use to study abroad or do something else "educational," receive a free laptop, ANDDD the option of a free dorm in Midtown Manhattan!)

Waiting On:

Tufts
Brown
Yale

At this point I have no clear-cut first choice. Where I end up next year, for better or for worse, will largely depend upon the financial aid packages I receive. At least it will make my decision easier...
