I'm applying for transfer to UCLA (Math/Econ) from community college this fall.
but one of major req., LINEAR ALGEBRA, is not offered in this fall semester. So I have to take it next spring.
That's too late? Is it possible to accept? Give me advice!!

international student
GPA 3.83
math tutor

no it's fine. UR GPA is very good.

sure?
I heard I have to finish major reql. by winter.

rob_rob, no worries. It has to be before summer.

you mean, the summer right before transfering?

Rob_Rob, yes, let's put it this way, like it says in Answers for Transfers, most UC's require you have everything completed in the Spring prior to the school year....

I suggest getting a copy of Answers for Transfers and seeing what exactly each school requires. As far as UCLA is concerned, they want a very strong GPA, an intriguing personal statement and most, if not all of your pre-reqs completed.

rob_rob, yes...They do not consider the classes taken in the summer before the fall you are transferring to. Try to finish all classes before summer.

thanks, guys!
do they examine the grades in spring?

rob_rob, no they don't consider spring grades(before the fall you are transferring)...however, you are expected to get grades above C
