I am applying for few boarding schools like SPS, Deerfield, Exeter, Andover.....
My application is done and the dice had been casted. Whatever, but I am still confused with the school grade.

This is my grade(8th/current)

Geometry: 100/90/95 Semester exam:96
US history
Language(english) 90/93/97 Semester exam:89
Orchestra 99/99/100
Concepts of Technology 98/92/94 Semester exam:93
PE 99/100/99
Science 97/98/97 Semester exam:98

Now semester exams are only 1/7 of our whole semester grade average... Do boarding schools look at my semester exam specifically? or just the average? My 89 on the english exam is killing me D: !!! helps and comments are really appreciated! Thanks.

In addition to the numbers, schools would look at the level of the school you are currently attending, level of the classes that you have taken, and the class rank if any. If you are attending the school that is known to be competitive, I would say the numbers above are appealing. The BSs that you are applying to are most competitive to get in. There will be so many applicants with almost perfect grade report and the SSAT score, let alone the fantastic EC. What is your SSAT percentile? This being said, schools do look at other things than the grades. It means that applicants with better-looking numbers than yours would not always be accepted. So just relax. There is nothing you can do at this point. I wish you all the best! BTW, are you an Asian nationality with the Asian passport? Then it may be a little tougher as you will likely compete against your fellow countrymen.

I asked my daughter’s middle school about this very question. At her school only the midterm and semester grades were reported, but your school may have a different policy.

I think the prep schools are really just looking for midterm/semester grades (semester grades if available, otherwise midterms will have to do) and GPA, not individual exam scores.
