question,

i got this email:

"We need to clarify information you provided on your Free Application
for Federal Student Aid. We will not be able to consider your appli-
cation for aid until we receive this information, and review its impact
on your eligibility.
Will you have earned a high school diploma or a GED before your first
date of enrollment at the University of Washington?

Yes [ ] No [ ] If no, please explain below."

do i have only to check yes, or do i need to provide them with documentation? also, i got an AA degree from my cc, so why do they care about my high school diploma/ged?

Just check yes. If they want documentation they will ask for it.

And they are asking because I think you need to have a high school diploma/GED to be eligible for financial aid – [Student Aid on the Web](http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/aideligibility.jsp)

Even if you have an AA, you still need at least a GED

(Just like you were supposed to have a GED before attending community college(at least all the ones I’m aware of)- however they never bother to actually check)

Thanks for the response. My hs diploma is from Israel and we don’t have ged. Its completely different than here. When I went to college, they never requested anything from me

But you do have one, so just check yes. I kind of doubt they will need documentation.
