I took pre-calculus during the summer at a community college but ended up getting a D-this was because my uncle, who I was rather close to, had just passed away, and my grandmother became very ill during the summer. It was stressful on me and my family, and a result I did badly. However, I ended up getting an A during the regular semester at school, and a 740 on the sat 1 math. If I wrote a letter explaining my poor grade, do you think that this D would have a large impact on my chances for admission?
Thanks.
